The Need
Holistic support services for patients with lupus commencing a course of a new, first-in-class treatment regimen.
The Action
The provision of behavioural psychology expertise to inform the development of a holistic Health Coaching program for patients embarking on this new medication. The program was designed around self-determination theory and Health Coaches trained in motivational interviewing. The program was designed to support lifestyle, medication and emotional self-management. Guidance was also provided on outcome measures and success metrics and content provided for leave behinds.
The Outcome
The PSP was rolled out in the US and then globally to coincide with drug launch. Customer testing with patients and HCPs indicates the PSP is delivering value to these key stakeholders.
