What are people with lupus seeking from supported self-management?
The Client
Multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company + specialist business management consultancy
The Need
To understand the supported self-management needs of lupus patients.
The Action
Interviews with lupus patients, including questions designed to elicit feedback on a proposed self-management program and its content.
The Outcome
In the main, the supported self-management program was addressing the needs of patients and promising feedback was received on the holistic nature of the content. Additional modules were built into the program based on the identification of further needs, including social support around talking to others about lupus, managing work, and being able to discuss concerns with doctors. Patients also requested modules on lifestyle, such as healthy eating and physical activity.
